Project Unsanctioned was a staged rave campaign for OSTAR × House Bl3nd. Film, portraiture and short-form edits built the world first; Arcade Rave: Gotta Gacha was the payoff.
Planning began June 16. The party-room unit shot July 23, with additional production and post continuing through the August rollout. I co-directed the hero film, then edited and colored the campaign across multiple cameras and formats.

THE INVITE
HITS DIFFERENT.
The hero film introduces Tiffany, her best friend and Chad through a graphic party reveal. Cast cards, notification overlays and high-contrast red styling turn the promo into a piece of the rave’s world.

Michael Counts photographed the campaign’s biker and racing silhouettes against cars, bikes and the sodium glow of the lot. I edited the final drop.

THE ROOM
WAS FULL.
The rollout moved from a fictionalized party reveal to a real room at capacity. The teaser crossed 100K Instagram impressions during its first month, and the RSVP list hit its limit before the event.
BUILD THE WORLD.
CUT WHAT IT DOESN’T NEED.
The original plan included a parking-lot sequence before the party. We shot and graded it, then removed it when the film worked better by dropping straight into Scene 2.
The rooftop footage still carries the campaign’s visual identity, which is why it opens this case study. The released film itself is the party-room cut.
